Connecting Discord events to your Minecraft server
Integrations lets the MineTogether Discord bot run a command on a selected Minecraft instance when someone joins or leaves a Discord server, or gains or loses a role. It is separate from contacting CreeperHost support through Discord.
This page is available to the account owner on eligible Premium services. The integration is still in development; contact support if an event does not behave as expected.
Connect a Discord server
- Select your hosting service and open Integrations.
- Select Add Server.
- Complete Discord's authorisation, choosing the Discord server you manage and reviewing the requested bot permissions.
- Return to Integrations and check that the server appears in the connected-server list.
Add a command
- Select Add Command.
- Choose the Discord server and Minecraft Instance the command should affect.
- Select an Action: Role Add, Role Remove, Server Join or Server Leave.
- For a role action, choose the Role.
- Enter the game-console Command, then select Add.
- Check the saved parent, action and command in the list.
For example, the command field shows whitelist add {{MC_USERNAME}} as a player-name command pattern. Test it with the intended account before applying the rule to your whole community. If it cannot find the player's Minecraft username, contact support for help with account linking.
Pairing a role-added rule with a role-removed rule can keep access in step with a community role. Check the target instance and the effect of each command carefully, especially for commands that remove access or change game data.
Remove access
Use Remove beside a command to delete that rule. Use Revoke beside a connected Discord server to revoke its integration. These controls are for your server integration and do not close a CreeperHost support chat.
