Getting started with Windward Horizon
Once Windward Horizon is installed on your service, select it in CreeperPanel and open Settings to prepare your server.
- Set a Server name and choose the World name you want to load or create. Enter the world name without
.world. - Choose Server visibility. A private server can be joined by address; a public server can also appear in the game's browser.
- Set Administrator SteamID64 for your own account. Use Sign in with Steam when offered, or follow the SteamID guide.
- Choose World size before the first player joins. An existing world keeps its original size.
- Save the settings, open Console and start the server.
The first-start administrator prompt also lets you supply your SteamID64. Check that it is the account you will use to join.
Connect and check the server
Use Connect to Server to find the address and port. Join through the game's server browser or its address connection option, using the details shown by the Panel.
The console shows server messages and the online player list/count when status data is available. A ? player count means the Panel could not obtain the current count; it does not mean the server is empty.
Change the world rules
Stop the server before changing its world settings. You can adjust difficulty, scaling, growth, province editing and the day/night cycle, then save and start it again.
Changing World name selects a different world. Download a copy of the current save before switching if you want to keep an extra backup.
