Managing the server firewall
CreeperPanel's Firewall page shows addresses blocked from individual services, such as SSH/SFTP or a Minecraft instance. It is available on Eco and Premium, subject to account permissions.
Block or unblock an address
- Select the correct server and open Firewall.
- Choose the tab for the affected service or instance.
- To remove a ban, find the address and select Unblock.
- To add a ban, select Block IP, enter the IPv4 address and confirm Block.
The selected tab matters: the action applies to that service's block list. Double-check an address before blocking it, especially if players share an internet connection. The manual block form currently accepts IPv4 addresses.
If the page says the firewall is not enabled, contact support rather than treating an empty list as confirmation that it is protecting the service.
Minecraft protection settings
On a Minecraft tab, select the settings cog to open Firewall configuration. It contains Enable Firewall, connection-attempt limits, the monitoring period, ban duration and CreeperRadar Protection.
CreeperRadar helps block known malicious traffic. Level 4 — High confidence is the recommended setting. Lower non-zero levels cover a broader set of threats; higher levels require stronger evidence. Off disables CreeperRadar protection.
Select Save after changing a setting. CreeperRadar updates apply automatically within a few minutes. Other firewall configuration changes take effect after the next service reboot, so arrange that restart around your players.
The firewall is separate from a game's whitelist or ban list. If a player still cannot join after being unblocked, check the game console and connection settings as well.
