Saving game settings
Each game has its own Settings page. Select the game, open Settings and use the category tabs or search to find the option you need.
- Read the setting's description, then enter your value or change its switch.
- Select Save before leaving the page.
- Follow any restart prompt. Restart Now applies the change with a restart; Restart Later lets you choose when to interrupt your players.
For a planned batch of changes, stop the game first, save the settings and start it again when you are ready.
Greyed-out controls and errors
Some controls depend on another setting or only apply to a particular game version. Hover over or focus a disabled control to read the reason when one is provided. Change the related option first if you want to use it.
The Panel checks supported formats and limits when you save. Fix the highlighted value and try again; a failed save means your new choices have not been confirmed.
Ports already in use
When a stopped game's configured port is occupied, the Panel can show Port Already in Use, including the port and TCP or UDP protocol.
Choose Review Settings to correct the conflict. Save Anyway keeps the requested value, but the game may fail to start until the conflict is resolved. Check Monitor to see which process is using the port.
Another person changed the settings
If Save Conflict appears, the file changed after you opened it. Reload Settings lets you review the latest values. Overwrite Settings replaces them with your current choices, so use it only when you intend to replace the other changes.
