Generating a Hytale world
When starting Hytale with a new world, the Panel opens World Generation. You can use an offered pregenerated world or prepare your own terrain before players start exploring.
Use World of the Day
If Use WOTD is offered, it downloads the available World of the Day to the new world's location. Wait for the download and extraction to finish before continuing the server startup.
The daily offer is a starting world you choose. It does not replace your live world every day.
Generate your own world
- Choose Generate to open the radius controls.
- Use the slider to choose the number of blocks in each direction.
- Check Total Chunks and the estimated finish time.
- Select Start and allow the server to finish preparing the world.
A larger radius prepares more terrain and takes longer. The finish time is an estimate. Generating terrain uses server resources, so let it finish before inviting everyone in.
To start another world later, stop Hytale and use New World on the Worlds page, then start the server. Download your existing world first if you want a separate copy.
