Checking Vintage Story performance
If blocks are slow to respond or the whole group is feeling lag, check the server while it is happening. CreeperPanel's Console shows online players, memory and TPS when live data is available. Vintage Story normally aims for 30 TPS.
Open Metrics
Select your Vintage Story service, then use the arrow beside TPS on the Console to open Metrics.
Expand Memory Usage to see the graph. Under Server Profile, start with Overall for the server-wide view, then select a dimension for more detail. On narrower screens, dimensions appear in a dropdown.
Find what is taking time
For a closer look, turn on Enable Profiler and select a dimension. The Entities and Block Entities tabs show the diagnostics available from your server. Sort by Total, Tick Time or % to find large groups or expensive activity; select a row where a detailed breakdown is available.
The Threads view gives another breakdown that can help when investigating a busy server. You do not need it for normal server management.
Some readings are unavailable on certain server versions. Empty tables are not proof that nothing is happening. If the page says it is reconnecting, give it a moment to recover and check that the server is still running.
When asking support for help, include when the slowdown happened, what players were doing and a screenshot of the affected view. That is much more useful than a reading taken after everyone has logged out.
