Factorio mods and DLCs

Use Mods for your downloaded mod collection and DLCs for the expansion entries available in the installed server version.

Install and manage mods

1. Stop Factorio and open Mods.
2. Search the Factorio mod catalogue and select Install beside the mod you want. You can also upload a mod ZIP using the upload box.
3. Return to Installed Mods and check the collection.
4. Use each entry's switch to enable or disable it, or its remove control to delete it.
5. Start the server when the collection is ready.

Check the author's Factorio version and dependency requirements. The server and the players joining it need a compatible collection; uploading a mod does not change your friends' local installations.

Choose DLCs

Install and start your chosen Factorio version once before using DLCs, so its configuration exists. Then stop the server and open DLCs.

The page lists the expansion entries found in that installation. Use their switches to enable or disable them, then start Factorio again. Players still need to own any expansions required by your save.

Before changing an established factory's mods or DLCs, download a copy of its save. Keep the features required by that save enabled.
