Creating a Cluster

In order to set up a cluster you will need to be able to run multiple Arks servers on the same machine

  1. You will need to set the same cluster ID on all the servers you wish to use in the cluster. This can be done with the command line argument of clusterid=<RandomID>

  2. You will need to set a cluster directory to store cluster transfer data, This can be done with the command line argument of -ClusterDirOverride=<Your cluster folder>

  3. Add -NoTransferFromFiltering to your command line arguments to allow survivors to be transferred.

  4. Make sure your servers allow Survivors to be uploaded/downloaded. These options can be found inside gameusersettings.ini

PreventDownloadSurvivors=false
PreventUploadSurvivors=false
PreventUploadItems=false
PreventDownloadItems=false

That should be it. Once the servers are started you should now be able to use an obelisk to change between servers/maps.

If you are going from one server to another you will need to already have the mods installed for the second server or you will not be able to connect
