Your Overgrown server, with the useful bits included.

Host your Overgrown server

Host Overgrown as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-online city to explore, rebuild and industrialise—without leaving one player’s computer running all week.

  • One-click installation handles the correct pack and Forge setup.
  • Supported updates retain your configuration changes.
  • Home hosting struggles when several players generate new city terrain.
  • Basic rental servers often lack useful tools when lag appears.
  • Premium is the sensible starting range for a long-running Overgrown world.

An Overgrown World Built for a Group

Overgrown is a 75-mod Minecraft 1.10.2 pack set among ruined city blocks, abandoned roads and vegetation-covered towers. Its 700-plus custom quests give a multiplayer group plenty of direction while leaving room to explore and build at its own pace.

The pack blends machinery, storage and agriculture through recognisable mods including Mekanism, Applied Energistics 2, Forestry, Agricraft and Mystical Agriculture. Tinkers’ Construct expands equipment choices, while The Betweenlands adds another substantial destination beyond the city.

On a shared server, players can split their attention between scouting, quest progression, farming and factory building. Progress continues without everyone needing to log in together—or one player acting as the group’s reluctant server admin.

Hosting Considerations for Overgrown

Overgrown is moderate in mod count, but mod count alone does not determine server performance. City generation, active machines, loaded chunks and players travelling in different directions commonly matter more.

Generating new urban terrain can produce short tick-time spikes, particularly when several players explore separate areas. Pre-generating the region your group expects to use can make early play smoother and reduce surprise pauses during expeditions.

As bases grow, keep an eye on always-running farms, processing lines and chunk loaders. Individually harmless builds can become expensive when many remain active around the clock. Sensible chunk-loading rules usually help more than simply adding memory.

Leave enough memory headroom for Forge, world generation and established bases, but do not treat RAM as the only answer. Strong single-thread CPU performance remains important for this generation of Minecraft. Keep client and server pack versions aligned, and avoid casually changing the tested Minecraft or Forge version. Back up the world before pack updates, major configuration edits or removing mods.

Why CreeperHost Fits Overgrown

Our hybrid VPS platform supplies native CPU performance for the parts of modded Minecraft that cannot be spread neatly across many cores. That matters once the city fills with machinery, farms and loaded bases.

On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current panel and server state, explain what it finds and prepare safe next steps for you to approve. It does not replace support; real CreeperHost people are still here when an older Forge pack gets temperamental.

We have spent over 13 years hosting modded communities, so your server is backed by people who understand that “it lags near the factory” is the beginning of the diagnosis, not the end.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
