Host your The Hubris of Magic server

Host The Hubris of Magic as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and let your group tackle its hostile world together. Your quests, discoveries, magical progress, and hard-won base remain online even when nobody feels like leaving a PC running overnight.

  • Premium is our recommended range for its exploration, combat, and long-term world growth.
  • Home servers can stumble when several players generate terrain or fight mob-heavy encounters.
  • Casual hosting makes old Forge versions, configs, and world recovery needlessly fiddly.
  • One-click installation gets the correct pack build in place quickly.
  • Updates preserve your configuration changes instead of quietly resetting them.

A Dark, Quest-Led Magic Pack

The Hubris of Magic is a 72-mod adventure and RPG pack for Minecraft 1.7.10, running on Forge 10.13.4.1448. It combines magical progression, dangerous exploration, quests, and tougher combat in a world shaped by disaster.

Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Botania, Witchery, and Forbidden Magic give groups several arcane paths to pursue. Doomlike Dungeons, Roguelike Dungeons, Ruins, Runic Dungeons, and the Twilight Forest push players beyond the safety of their base.

That mixture works particularly well on a shared server: one player can focus on research, another can prepare supplies, and somebody will inevitably open the alarming dungeon chest.

Built for a Shared Campaign

This is the sort of pack where a persistent world matters. Exploration spreads players across multiple regions, while quest and magic progression rewards groups that return over many sessions.

A hosted server also avoids tying the campaign to one player’s schedule. Everyone can gather resources, build, or explore independently without waiting for the world owner to log in.

Because the pack uses a fixed legacy Minecraft and Forge stack, consistency matters. Keep every client on the matching pack version, and agree before changing mods or configs. Small unsynchronised changes can cause missing-content errors or prevent players from joining.

Hosting Considerations for The Hubris of Magic

Minecraft 1.7.10 packs commonly benefit more from strong CPU performance and sensible memory allocation than from simply assigning as much RAM as possible. The Hubris of Magic is not enormous by modern pack standards, but its generated structures, dimensions, hostile mobs, and magic systems can still make a busy world demanding.

New terrain generation often causes brief load spikes, especially when several players explore in different directions. Encouraging groups to travel together early on can reduce that pressure. Chunk loaders should also be used deliberately; leaving many automated or magical areas active while nobody is nearby adds background work.

Long-running worlds deserve regular backups. Take one before pack updates, configuration edits, or removing any mod. If performance changes over time, check loaded chunks, entity counts, and newly built systems before assuming the server only needs more memory.

For an active group, Premium gives this legacy Forge pack the stronger footing we would normally choose.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, helping with the main thread work older Forge servers depend on.

CreeperPanel gives you GUI-based mod and config management plus tools for tracking down lag without digging blindly through files. If something does get strange, you can talk to real CreeperHost people who have spent more than 13 years dealing with modded servers and their occasional arcane tantrums.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
