Your Combat Pack server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Combat Pack server
Host Combat Pack as a CreeperHost multiplayer server and give your group an always-ready arena for firearms, airborne attacks, defensive turrets, NPC encounters, and custom-built battlegrounds.
- Install the pack in a click without assembling an old Forge server by hand.
- Keep the match online when the host player shuts down their PC.
- Avoid home-network limits during busy firefights or fast movement across the map.
- Protect public games with DDoS protection built into our network.
- Manage files and settings through CreeperPanel rather than juggling local folders.
Combat Pack Overview
Combat Pack is a compact Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge pack built around multiplayer combat. Its small mod list keeps the focus clear: equip players, fortify positions, populate the map, and start fighting.
CombatPlus and Firearm Nail support the pack’s weapons-led theme, while OpenModularTurrets adds automated defences that can turn a simple base assault into a much tougher objective. Custom NPCs gives server owners tools for adding characters and encounters. Chisel broadens the building palette, helping arenas, bunkers, airfields, and team bases look like more than hastily stacked cobblestone.
It works well for organised PvP, objective games, private battles, and custom combat maps where the server owner sets the rules.
Hosting Considerations for Combat Pack
Performance and map design
With seven mods, Combat Pack is lighter than the large kitchen-sink packs commonly associated with Forge. A small private match will generally be less demanding, but active combat can still create sharp CPU spikes. Projectiles, NPCs, automated turrets, vehicles, and several players moving through different areas all ask the server to process more at once.
Map design matters too. A contained arena is usually easier to run than an unrestricted world where players scatter and generate terrain during a battle. If you plan a public server, multiple teams, or NPC-heavy scenarios, leave some headroom rather than choosing purely from the mod count.
Running a legacy Forge pack
Minecraft 1.7.10 packs need their versions kept in step. Clients must use the expected pack release, and changing individual mods without testing can cause connection errors, missing content, or broken worlds.
Take a backup before adjusting mods, Forge builds, or important configs. For a purpose-built combat map, it is also worth testing turret placement, NPC behaviour, weapon rules, spawn areas, and team objectives before inviting everyone in. Older does not mean troublesome by default, but legacy modded servers reward careful changes.
Why Run Combat Pack with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform gives modded Minecraft native CPU performance, which helps when a quiet arena suddenly becomes a full firefight. CreeperPanel includes tools for investigating lag, so you can see what is slowing the server instead of guessing.
We have hosted modded communities for more than 13 years, including plenty of older Forge setups. If an update, config change, or world issue gets strange, real support staff are available to help you work through it. You organise the battle; we keep the server from becoming another objective to defend.
Got questions?
Yes. Order from a modpack page and the selected pack is ready to install. You can also change versions or choose another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
Our pack tooling first turned a CurseForge client pack into a server on 31 March 2017, long before generative AI entered the picture. Built by experienced members of the modded Minecraft community, it works out which files a dedicated server needs, automatically detects known client-only mods before they get in the way, and prepares the right Minecraft, modloader, and launch setup. It also watches pack starts: if one crashes, the failure is automatically reported to our team so we can see what actually happened and improve the handling. Automation is only the first line. When a pack needs its own fix or setup step, our team can build one rather than forcing everything through the same rigid template.
Yep. CreeperPanel lets you search for and install extra mods, then update, enable, or disable them alongside the rest of the pack. It checks the Minecraft version and modloader and warns you about known client-only mods. Mods can still disagree with each other, because modded Minecraft, but you get proper tools and real people to help rather than a folder full of mystery files.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Yes. SaveGuard keeps automatic world backups on separate backup storage, away from the machine running your server, without using your allocated server disk. It stores only what changed between saves, so even losing the whole game node would not take the protected worlds with it.
If your world still exists when the service ends, Save Your World keeps a copy for up to a year. Come back later and you can restore it to a new service in one click, picking up where you left off.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
CreeperHost's generative AI tools drafted this description from information freely available to the public and facts about our own hosting. Our pack automation has been built and improved by experienced members of the modded Minecraft community since 2017; AI helps us describe that enormous catalogue, it does not make the server packs. We review and replace these drafts as time allows or when somebody flags one for the human touch. Spotted an inaccuracy? Please let us know.
