Joe's Frontier focuses on discovery and long-term progression. Travel through varied landscapes, biomes, rivers, and settlements while searching for useful resources and new opportunities. Towns, towers, custom NPCs, merchants, and quests give expeditions a clear sense of purpose, while wildlife and atmospheric features add character to the world.

Exploration can lead to better equipment, valuable trade goods, and places to establish a lasting settlement. Land claiming supports personal building projects and shared communities, letting players shape the frontier around their own goals.

Trade, Build, and Fight

The pack supports several playstyles. Mine and gather materials, trade with merchants, complete quests, or develop a settlement through careful construction. Player trading and buy-and-sell systems give collected items an important role beyond basic crafting.

Combat includes swords, firearms, ammunition, and hostile creatures with heightened awareness. Small ships expand travel options, while backpacks and upgraded storage make longer journeys easier to manage. Building tools, furniture, displays, and decorative additions help turn practical bases into distinctive homes, towns, or trading posts.
