Host your Gearspack server

Host Gearspack as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give everyone a shared world for sprawling factories, magical experiments, dungeon runs, and the occasional machine nobody remembers building.

  • Premium is our recommended range for this large, long-running pack.
  • One-click installation gets the correct pack files in place quickly.
  • Home hosting becomes awkward when exploration and automation compete for CPU time.
  • Casual hosting can buckle as machines, storage networks, and loaded chunks accumulate.
  • Updates preserve your configuration changes instead of wiping your careful tweaks.

Gearspack Overview

Gearspack is a substantial Minecraft 1.20.1 pack running on Forge 47.4.0, with 524 mods spanning technology, magic, exploration, and quality-of-life additions.

Create and Mekanism give players plenty of machinery to design, power, and automate. Applied Energistics 2 and Refined Storage support increasingly ambitious storage systems, while Blood Magic provides a different path for players who would rather pursue rituals than production lines.

Ad Astra extends the adventure beyond the Overworld, while improved dungeons, mineshafts, and other structures reward groups that keep exploring. Navigation tools and Xaero’s Minimap help everyone find their way back after somebody says, “It’s probably just over this hill.”

Hosting Considerations for Gearspack

Plan for a growing world

Large Forge packs commonly need more memory and stronger CPU performance than lightly modded servers. Gearspack also includes systems that encourage large bases, automation, storage networks, and continued exploration, so its demands will usually rise as your world matures.

New chunk generation can cause short performance dips, especially when several players travel in different directions at once. Pre-generating the main play area can smooth out launch week and reduce the amount of terrain generation happening during busy sessions.

Keep automation tidy

Create contraptions, processing lines, item transport, and other constantly active machinery can add significant tick time when built at scale. That does not mean players need to avoid ambitious factories, but sensible chunk loading and shutting down unused machines can make a noticeable difference.

Storage networks also deserve care. Extremely large inventories, rapid import systems, and machines repeatedly scanning for items are common sources of late-game strain across technical packs.

For an established group, leave headroom rather than choosing a plan that only covers the first evening. Premium gives Gearspack more room for exploration, shared bases, and the complicated builds players inevitably create after promising to “keep things simple.”

Why Run Gearspack with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance, backed by modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware chosen with modded Minecraft in mind.

CreeperPanel includes tools for examining lag and managing mods or configuration files without turning every adjustment into a command-line expedition. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely trouble spots, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.

When something genuinely strange happens, our team brings more than 13 years of experience hosting modded communities. Real people are available when a 524-mod server decides to become interesting.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
