Your SKD - Tester Pack server, with the useful bits included.
Host your SKD - Tester Pack server
Host SKD - Tester Pack as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your testers a shared place to validate development builds, reproduce problems, and check compatibility without relying on somebody’s home PC.
- One-click installs and updates keep configuration changes intact.
- Home hosting ties every test session to one machine and connection.
- Frequent build changes make casual server maintenance tedious.
- Built-in diagnostics help track down lag and unusual behaviour.
- DDoS protection keeps public testing from becoming an easy target.
SKD - Tester Pack Overview
SKD - Tester Pack is an official test pack for Stalking Dragons mods rather than a conventional progression or kitchen-sink pack. It runs on Minecraft 26.2 with NeoForge 26.2.0.37-beta and currently contains 11 mods.
The pack combines development builds with supporting libraries and utilities. Its catalogue includes Waystones, Balm, Yet Another Config Lib, and several Stalking Dragons components covering armour, connectivity, menus, data collection, and other test features.
That focused scope makes it useful for developers, community testers, and smaller groups that need everyone running the same build. Because testing is the point, expect versions to change more often than they would in a settled survival pack.
Hosting Considerations for SKD - Tester Pack
With a relatively small mod list, the pack will commonly be lighter than large modded Minecraft collections. That does not make performance irrelevant: development builds can produce extra logging, expose regressions, or behave differently after an update. CPU speed still matters when several players are reproducing issues at once.
Keep the Minecraft, NeoForge, and mod versions aligned. A client on a different test build may fail to connect or give you results that are difficult to compare. Change one set of components at a time where practical, and retain copies of important worlds and configuration files before moving to a new development build.
Memory needs will usually begin modestly, then rise with player activity, explored chunks, and any diagnostics enabled by the mods. Avoid assigning excessive memory simply because it is available; healthy Java settings and fast CPU performance are generally more useful than an oversized allocation.
Planned restarts are also worthwhile after changing mods or configuration. If tick times worsen, check logs and profiling data before blaming the first mod named in an error. Library and compatibility failures often surface somewhere other than their actual cause.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware, which helps when test builds behave unpredictably.
On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval. When the problem needs a person, our team brings more than 13 years of hands-on modded Minecraft hosting experience to the conversation.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
