EMC: Space Age is a Forge 1.18.2 pack combining skyblock progression with technology, magic, quests, and space exploration. Its 198 mods offer plenty for a group to divide and conquer rather than making everyone follow the same path.
Applied Energistics 2 supports large storage networks, while Bigger Reactors, Immersive Engineering, Thermal, and Mekanism-related content provide substantial engineering projects. Botania adds magical automation, with Tinkers’ Construct, Productive Bees, Compact Machines, and CC: Tweaked opening further routes through the pack.
It is a good match for groups that enjoy turning a tiny starting platform into an increasingly complicated machine—and then leaving the planet.
Hosting Considerations for EMC: Space Age
A pack of this size commonly needs more memory and stronger single-thread CPU performance than a lightly modded server. Startup can take a while as Forge loads mods, scripts, recipes, and quests, so avoid treating a slow boot as an invitation to hammer the restart button.
Skyblock reduces some normal terrain-generation pressure, but developed bases can become demanding in other ways. Large storage systems, ticking machines, item transport, loaded chunks, mob farms, and computer-controlled automation all add work every tick. Compact Machines and off-world activity may also leave processing spread across several areas rather than one visible base.
