Keep your choices through updates

Changing a setting shouldn’t mean making the same edit again after a pack update. For NeoForge packs on Minecraft 1.21 and newer, Config Layers keeps your chosen values separate from the pack’s original configuration files.

In CreeperPanel, you adjust supported mod settings visually. Your choices are stored in a separate JSON layer, then a Java agent merges them when the server launches without rewriting the original files.

That separation is the useful bit: pack or mod updates don’t overwrite your choices. You can keep the settings your friends agreed on without treating each update as another round of file-editing homework.
