Your OxMODPACK 8 server, with the useful bits included.

Host your OxMODPACK 8 server

Host OxMODPACK 8 as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and let your group tackle its hardcore quest progression together. We handle the server side, so nobody has to keep a spare PC running beneath a desk.

  • One-click installation gets the correct Forge pack onto your server quickly.
  • 319 mods can overwhelm casually shared memory and desktop CPUs.
  • Long-running quest worlds become awkward when the host player must stay online.
  • Premium is our recommended range for stronger modded-Minecraft performance.
  • Updates preserve your configuration changes instead of casually overwriting them.

What to Expect from OxMODPACK 8

OxMODPACK 8 is a large Forge 1.18.2 pack combining technology, magic, exploration and tougher survival. Its progression is organised through more than 600 quests, giving a group clear goals while leaving room to build, explore and pursue different mod paths.

Recognisable inclusions cover PneumaticCraft: Repressurized, Farmer’s Delight, Quark, The Undergarden and Oh The Biomes You’ll Go. That mixture means your server is likely to grow beyond a simple shared base: players will explore widely, construct increasingly involved systems and keep returning to the same world as quest progress advances.

The current catalogue release is 8.5.4, using Forge 40.2.17 for Minecraft 1.18.2.

Hosting Considerations for OxMODPACK 8

Memory and CPU

With hundreds of mods, OxMODPACK 8 should be treated as a heavier pack. Memory needs commonly rise as players spread out, load different dimensions and build more complex bases. Extra RAM helps, but it is not the whole answer: strong single-thread CPU performance remains important for keeping ticks moving smoothly.

Premium plans are the sensible starting point for most groups, particularly if several players are active at once. Leave some breathing room rather than sizing only for a fresh world; established bases usually ask more of the server than the first evening does.

Worlds, Updates and Configuration

Exploration can generate chunks quickly, especially when players head in opposite directions. Fast travel through new terrain often causes temporary tick pressure, so stagger large exploration trips if the server is already busy.

Keep client and server pack versions aligned. Large Forge packs depend on matching mods, scripts and configuration, and partial manual updates are a reliable way to create connection errors or broken progression. Take a backup before changing versions, adding mods or editing quest-related settings.

Automated farms, transport networks and machines can also add up. If performance gradually falls rather than failing outright, inspect active chunks and continuously running builds before simply adding more memory.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our Hybrid VPS platform gives modded servers native CPU performance without making you administer a raw machine. Built-in diagnostics help identify tick lag, overloaded areas and other common causes of slowdown.

On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds and prepare safe next steps for your approval. When the problem gets stranger than a restart button can handle, real CreeperHost support staff are here too.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
