The Underground Journey brings underground automation and survival to CreeperHost hosting for Minecraft 1.16.5. Built with Forge, this modpack combines technology, magic, quests, and skyblock-style progression around a clear objective: survive below ground and automate as much as possible.
Underground Survival
Inspired by Stoneblock, The Underground Journey places its challenge beneath the surface. Exploration, construction, and progression all take place within an underground setting, creating a distinct alternative to standard Minecraft survival. The pack is designed to offer plenty to do over an extended playthrough.
Recipes have been specially changed, with some items made more difficult to craft. This increases the challenge and makes progression more deliberate as you work toward increasingly advanced systems.
Technology and Automation
Automation is at the heart of the pack. Its technology selection includes Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, Create, Environmental Tech, Applied Energistics 2, RFTools, Powah, Integrated Crafting, Integrated Terminals, Flux Networks, and Immersive Petroleum.
These mods support a broad range of building and processing projects, from machinery and storage to power systems and automated resource handling. Tools such as Building Gadgets, Construction Wand, Exchangers, Iron Chests, and Drawers also support large-scale construction and organisation.
Magic and Progression
The pack also includes a substantial magic selection, featuring Astral Sorcery, Botania, Mystical Agriculture, Apotheosis, and Patchouli. This gives progression a balance between industrial development and magical advancement.
JEI and Just Enough Resources help with recipes and item information, while Better Advancements and the pack’s quests tag support structured progression. KubeJS is included alongside several configuration and integration mods, reflecting the pack’s customised recipes and connected systems.
