Host your Create: Milkyway server

Host Create: Milkyway as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group a shared world for quests, factories, exploration, and long-term progression—without relying on somebody’s spare PC to stay switched on.

  • Quick setup: Install the pack through CreeperPanel without assembling 133 mods by hand.
  • Configuration-friendly updates: Pack updates preserve your own config changes.
  • Better than a spare machine: Large factories and explored worlds can outgrow casual home hosting.
  • No host-player bottleneck: The server keeps running when the person who started the world logs off.
  • Premium recommended: Stronger CPU performance suits an established Create world with active automation.

Create: Milkyway Overview

Create: Milkyway is a progression-led Minecraft 1.18.2 pack running on Forge 40.2.1. Its 133 mods combine mechanical engineering, broader technology, quests, magic, food, storage, and exploration.

Create sits at the centre, supported by additions such as Steam ’n’ Rails and Create Confectionery. Thermal Expansion offers another route into machines and processing, while Refined Storage helps groups organise the growing pile of components that every ambitious factory somehow produces.

FTB Quests and Teams make it a natural multiplayer pack: players can work through progression together, divide projects, or become the server’s unofficial railway engineer. Alex’s Mobs, Waystones, Lootr, and upgraded structures also give people reasons to leave the workshop and explore.

Hosting Considerations for Create: Milkyway

This is a moderately large pack, but mod count alone does not decide how well a server runs. Create contraptions, machine networks, storage systems, loaded chunks, and simultaneous exploration all contribute differently as a world develops.

CPU speed matters particularly once players build moving contraptions and interconnected production lines. Adding excessive memory will not compensate for an overloaded game tick, so we usually recommend a balanced Premium plan rather than simply chasing the largest memory figure.

For a smoother long-running world:

  • Keep simulation and view distances sensible for the size of your group.
  • Avoid leaving sprawling machinery active when it serves no current purpose.
  • Build storage networks thoughtfully rather than connecting everything everywhere.
  • Expect fresh exploration by several players to create short bursts of extra work.
  • Review performance before adding extra mods or increasing chunk-loading allowances.

Small groups early in progression will generally be easier to host than a busy community with established factories across multiple bases. Leave room to grow if players tend to automate every recipe, run permanent rail networks, or explore in different directions at once.

Updates also deserve care. Keep the server and every client on the same pack release, and avoid replacing individual mod files unless you know the pack’s scripts and dependencies still match.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers the native CPU performance that busy modded worlds need, using modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware.

CreeperPanel includes tools for tracking down lag rather than leaving you to guess which machine or chunk is misbehaving. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely causes, and prepare safe next steps for you to approve.

When things get genuinely strange, you can also talk to real people backed by more than 13 years of hosting modded Minecraft communities.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
