Prepare, Build, and Compete

Players begin by gathering materials, developing a base, and deciding how to spend their available resources before combat begins. ProjectE’s Energy Condenser turns unwanted minerals into useful materials, including gunpowder, gunmetal, and ammunition. Extra Gems provides valuable ores, while VeinMiner helps collect materials efficiently.

Preparation can include defensive traps, backpacks, waystones, airships, weapons, armour, medical items, and other supplies. Groups can define their own starting equipment and rules, allowing each session to support different approaches to base building and combat.

Combat and Survival

Once preparation ends, players or teams hunt one another across the world. Firearms, grenades, armour, med-kits, and hostile NPCs create several ways to approach an encounter. Bandits and other enemies can provide additional weapons, making exploration part of the wider contest.

The pack supports limited-life matches, keep-inventory rules, and a world border to control the playable area. Groups may also choose to shrink the border over time, encouraging movement and preventing matches from becoming dominated by hiding. The final surviving player or team wins.

World Exploration and Modded Features

Equivalent Combat combines combat-focused play with tools for travel, construction, and discovery. Lost Cities, Biomes O’ Plenty-style terrain generation through Biome Bundle, Open Terrain Generator, and Waystones can give each match a distinct setting.
