TxBG v1 Shader Overview
TxBG v1 Shader is a compact Minecraft 1.16.4 pack using Forge 35.1.4. Its focus is visual presentation, with CilokGaming GI Shaders and FaithfulPBR resource packs accompanied by familiar utilities including Jade, JEI, and JourneyMap.
For multiplayer, the server looks after the shared world while each player’s computer handles most of the shader and texture work. That distinction matters: hosting keeps the map online, but it cannot make demanding graphics run faster on a player’s GPU.

Hosting Considerations for TxBG v1 Shader
Server performance and client graphics
This is not the same kind of server load as a large automation or world-generation pack. Shaders and high-detail resource packs generally increase client-side GPU and memory use far more than server demand. Server performance will more commonly depend on player activity, explored world size, entity counts, and ordinary Forge behaviour.
A small group may not need an oversized plan. Allow some breathing room for Forge, monitor actual usage, and scale if the world becomes busier or you add more mods. Throwing extra server memory at low client frame rates will not help; players may need to adjust shader quality, render distance, or resource-pack resolution locally.
Keep the pack versions together
Minecraft 1.16.4 and its Forge generation are now older, so consistency matters more than chasing the newest individual mod release. Keep the server on the pack’s intended Forge build and make sure players use the matching client package. Updating JEI, JourneyMap, Jade, or integrations separately can introduce mismatches even when an update looks harmless.
Back up the world before changing Forge, mods, or configuration files. If you customise the pack, test changes before opening the updated server to everyone. Client-only visual files may also need to be distributed separately, as the game server does not render or automatically apply shaders for players.
