Host your justJEI server

Host justJEI as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-ready Minecraft 1.20.1 world with JEI’s recipe browsing close at hand.

  • One-click installation gets the correct Forge pack in place quickly.
  • A spare PC only works while it stays powered, connected, and maintained.
  • Home connections can struggle with outages, changing IPs, and unwanted traffic.
  • CreeperPanel keeps mods, files, and configuration accessible without command-line work.
  • DDoS protection helps keep your public server reachable.

What Is justJEI?

justJEI is an intentionally minimal Forge 1.20.1 pack containing a single mod: Just Enough Items.

JEI gives players a searchable item and recipe interface, making it easier to check crafting steps and uses without repeatedly leaving the game. It does not turn Minecraft into a large technology, magic, or progression pack. The underlying experience remains close to standard Minecraft, with JEI acting as a practical reference tool.

That makes justJEI a good starting point for a straightforward shared world, a private building server, or a base you plan to customise later. CreeperPanel’s GUI-based mod and configuration management is particularly useful if that small beginning eventually grows into something more personal.

What to Expect in Multiplayer

Because JEI is mainly a client-side information tool, it does not add blocks, machines, dimensions, or world-generation systems for the server to process. Players get its interface through their matching client installation, while the hosted world behaves much like a lightly modded Forge server.

The main benefit of hosting is therefore not handling a demanding pack. It is giving everyone one shared world that does not disappear when the usual host closes Minecraft, restarts their computer, or heads to bed.

Forge versions should still match between the server and player installations. Keeping everyone on the supplied pack version avoids the familiar “it works on my machine” detour before game night.

Hosting Considerations for justJEI

This is a very light modpack by modded Minecraft standards. Its memory and CPU needs will commonly sit much closer to a normal Forge server than to a large kitchen-sink pack. World generation, entity counts, farms, chunk loading, and the number of active players are more likely to affect performance than JEI itself.

Eco will often cover a small, uncomplicated justJEI world. Premium becomes the better direction if you expect a busier community, heavier automation added later, extensive exploration, or a growing custom mod list. Choosing around what the server will become is usually easier than moving plans after players have filled the map.

Regular backups remain worthwhile even with one mod. Player mistakes, damaged worlds, and configuration changes do not care how short the mod list is. Before adding more mods, stop the server cleanly, take a backup, and confirm that each addition supports Minecraft 1.20.1 and the installed Forge branch.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our modded Minecraft experience goes back more than 13 years, so support understands Forge servers rather than treating them like ordinary vanilla installs.

CreeperPanel handles installation and updates while preserving your configuration changes. If the server later develops lag, built-in diagnostic tools help identify whether chunks, entities, or newly added mods are responsible.

You get a simple justJEI server today, with room to build something larger tomorrow.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
