Your Among server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Among server
Host Among as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-ready world for exploration, building, combat, and increasingly ambitious machinery.
- Install the pack in one click without assembling 95 mods by hand.
- Premium plans are the better starting point for its larger tech builds.
- A home-hosted world stops when its owner’s PC sleeps or disconnects.
- Playing and hosting on one computer makes chunk generation compete with your game.
- Manage mods and configuration files through CreeperPanel’s GUI.
What to Expect from Among
Among 1.8.2 is a Minecraft 1.16.3 Forge pack built around technology, exploration, and multiplayer play. Its 95 mods leave room for several kinds of player: engineers can develop Mekanism, Thermal, Industrial Foregoing, and RFTools systems, while explorers head into terrain shaped by Biomes O’ Plenty and encounter Valhelsia Structures.
Refined Storage and Flux Networks support connected bases as the world matures. Aquaculture, furniture, building additions, vehicles, SecurityCraft, and Doggy Talents add plenty to do outside the main technology ladder.
That mix works particularly well on a shared server. Different players can specialise, trade materials, collaborate on large builds, or add a little friendly PvP when everyone gets too comfortable.
Hosting Considerations for Among
Among is not enormous by modern modpack standards, but its technology mods can create a busier server over time. Early play commonly feels lighter than a developed world containing automated farms, processing lines, storage networks, and chunk-loaded machines. Premium is our recommended CreeperHost range for a long-running world or an active group.
Exploration and world generation
New terrain takes more work to generate than already-explored land, particularly when several players travel in different directions. Expect the largest short-lived load spikes during group exploration, fast vehicle travel, or searches for new biomes and structures.
Exploring together, rather than scattering across the map immediately, can make early sessions smoother. Pre-generating an agreed area may also help established communities that expect lots of roaming.
Automation and loaded chunks
Mekanism factories, RFTools builds, Industrial Foregoing machines, and large storage setups are usually manageable when designed sensibly. Trouble more often comes from many always-running systems spread across permanently loaded chunks.
Keep an eye on unattended farms, overflowing item transport, and machines producing materials nobody uses. These can quietly add server tick time long after their owners log off. It is also wise to keep the server and clients on the pack’s specified Forge and mod versions; updating individual mods casually can cause connection problems or world-loading failures.
Why Run Among with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform gives modded Minecraft native CPU performance, helping when exploration and automation become busy at the same time.
CreeperPanel includes tools for finding lag sources, so you can investigate slow ticks instead of guessing which machine is misbehaving. If things get properly strange, our team brings more than 13 years of experience hosting modded communities. DDoS protection and a game-focused network help keep the world reachable while your group gets on with building it.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
