Host your X-Life 2 server
Host X-Life 2 as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group a world where every death changes the stakes. We handle the server-side chores, so nobody has to leave a spare PC running or become the group’s reluctant admin.
- Install X-Life 2 in a few clicks and update it without overwriting your config changes.
- Keep the world online when the person who usually hosts is away.
- Avoid home internet and desktop hardware struggling during group exploration.
- Get server-side tools for investigating lag instead of guessing at the cause.
- Choose Premium for a busy or long-running world with more performance headroom.
A Shared World with Limited Lives
X-Life 2 starts each player with one heart and a total of ten lives. Death grants another heart, making you tougher while pushing you closer to the limit. On a multiplayer server, that creates a fun mix of cooperation, caution and the occasional terrible decision made while everyone is watching.
This Forge pack runs on Minecraft 1.15.2 and includes 87 mods. Its focus stretches across exploration, magic, building and light progression rather than committing to one large tech tree.
Biomes O’ Plenty, Better Caves and Better Mineshafts make travelling worthwhile, while The Gaia Dimension and The Endergetic Expansion add further places to explore. Quark, Apotheosis, Farmer’s Delight, Productive Bees, Waystones and several furniture mods give players plenty to pursue between dangerous outings.
Hosting Considerations for X-Life 2
X-Life 2 is not enormous by modern modpack standards, but mod count alone never tells the whole story. Its expanded terrain, structures, creatures and dimensions can produce short CPU spikes when players generate new chunks. Several people travelling in different directions will usually be more demanding than the same group building together.
For an active group, we generally recommend the Premium range. Faster server-side processing helps with terrain generation, entity ticking and the gradual growth of established bases. Smaller groups staying relatively close together may need less, but it is worth leaving room for exploration rather than sizing only for the first evening.
Memory use commonly rises as the world grows and more areas remain active. Farms, animals, bees, storage systems and loaded dimensions can all add to the server’s regular work. Sensible farm limits and avoiding large collections of unattended mobs will help more than endlessly adding memory.
Keep every player on the pack’s matching release and Forge version. Older modpacks can be particular about version mismatches, so take a backup before changing mods or updating the pack. If your group plans to spread out quickly, pre-generating an agreed play area can also reduce live terrain-generation pauses.
Why Run X-Life 2 with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform gives modded Minecraft native CPU performance without leaving you to maintain a machine yourself. That matters when several X-Life players head into fresh terrain at once.
CreeperPanel includes tools for checking tick and lag problems. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current panel and server state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for you to approve.
When the problem is stranger than a graph can explain, you can reach people backed by more than 13 years of hosting modded communities. Your friends play; we deal with the server when it gets temperamental.
Got questions?
Yes. Order from a modpack page and the selected pack is ready to install. You can also change versions or choose another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
Our installer prepares the Minecraft version, loader and server files, setting aside recognised client-only mods and addons that depend on them. On supported Forge and NeoForge startup paths, our tools can identify a further client-only crash, disable the responsible file and restart your instance. The file is retained, the panel explains what changed, and that file is remembered for future installations. We have been building our client-pack-to-server tooling since 2017.
Yep. Search for extra mods in CreeperPanel, then install, update, enable or disable them alongside your pack. The panel checks the Minecraft version and modloader, brings in required dependencies and identifies known client-only mods. Your additions stay separate from the pack files, ready for the next pack update.
On Premium and Pro services, SaveGuard keeps recovery points on separate backup storage and shares unchanged data between snapshots. Choose an available point in CreeperPanel: it makes a fresh backup of your current world and shows the files the restore will change before you confirm.
Open Instant Refund in CreeperPanel to see your available refund amount and whether it returns to your payment method or account credit. Review the details, confirm, and it is processed automatically. Instant Refund is available on both Eco and Premium.
On Eco and Premium, Save Your World keeps your game saves for up to a year after your service ends, including after a missed payment, and emails you a download link. Keep a copy or take it to another host. Return within that time and CreeperPanel can set up the game and restore your save to your new service.
Eco is an option for lighter packs. Premium is our usual recommendation for modded Minecraft, with newer hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory and Ask Theo. Choose room for the pack, world and friends you want to bring together.
CreeperHost's generative AI tools drafted this description from information freely available to the public and facts about our own hosting. Our pack automation has been built and improved by experienced members of the modded Minecraft community since 2017; AI helps us describe that enormous catalogue, it does not make the server packs. We review and replace these drafts as time allows or when somebody flags one for the human touch. Spotted an inaccuracy? Please let us know.
