Your Oceanum server, with the useful bits included.

Host your Oceanum server

Host Oceanum as a CreeperHost multiplayer server and give your group an always-ready base for fishing trips, ocean voyages, and shared exploration—without relying on somebody’s PC staying switched on.

Why host Oceanum on CreeperHost?

  • Install the pack in a few clicks while keeping your configuration changes during updates.
  • Home hosting stops when the owner’s PC sleeps, restarts, or loses connection.
  • Casual server panels often make older Forge versions awkward to install and maintain.
  • DDoS protection helps keep public and community servers reachable.
  • World and inventory tools make recovering from player mishaps less painful.

A Focused Ocean Exploration Pack

Oceanum is a compact exploration pack for Minecraft 1.14.4, built around Forge 28.1.107. Rather than burying players beneath sprawling technology trees or dozens of magic systems, it concentrates on making travel, wildlife, fishing, and underwater discovery more interesting.

Aquaculture expands fishing, while Extra Boats adds more choice for getting around at sea. Upgrade Aquatic and Underwater Biome bring additional variety beneath the surface, with Better Animals Plus adding to the wildlife encountered along the way. JEI keeps recipes easy to check without repeatedly leaving the game.

That focused scope works well for groups that want a recognisable Minecraft experience with a stronger reason to leave shore together.

Hosting Considerations for Oceanum

Oceanum is lighter than a large kitchen-sink pack, but exploration servers have their own habits. The server may feel busiest when several players sail in different directions and generate new terrain simultaneously.

Exploration and world growth

Fast travel across open water can create new chunks quickly. On a busy server, spreading players across several routes may produce short CPU and storage spikes even when the mod list itself is modest. Keeping view distance sensible helps, as does encouraging players to explore together when performance is tight.

Exploration also grows the world folder over time. Backups take longer as that folder expands, so old test worlds and unnecessary backup copies should not be allowed to pile up indefinitely.

Versions and memory

A small private group will commonly need less memory than a broad progression pack, but Forge, world generation, and concurrent players still need headroom. Adding excessive memory is not a cure for tick lag; CPU speed, world activity, and problematic chunks often matter more.

Oceanum expects Minecraft 1.14.4 and its matching Forge branch. Players should use the same pack release as the server. Avoid casually replacing Forge or individual mods, particularly on an established world, and test changes before letting everyone reconnect.

Why Run Oceanum With Us?

Our Hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, helping when several explorers generate terrain at once.

CreeperPanel includes built-in lag diagnostics. On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.

We have spent over 13 years hosting modded communities, and real support staff are available when an older Forge pack decides to be unusually creative.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
