Village in the Valley is relatively light by modpack standards, but exploration still creates some familiar server pressures.

Generating fresh terrain is usually the busiest task. If several players travel in different directions at once, the server must create and save multiple new chunks. That can cause short tick delays on weaker CPUs, particularly while Biomes O’ Plenty is producing unfamiliar regions. Exploring together, or preparing commonly visited terrain ahead of a launch, can make early sessions smoother.

Memory demands are generally more approachable than those of large kitchen-sink packs. Even so, leave headroom for Forge, active players and a growing world rather than allocating only enough for an empty server.

Long-running maps also accumulate chunk and map data. Keep regular backups before changing mods or updating the pack, and avoid removing world-generation mods from an existing save. Because this is an older Minecraft and Forge combination, matching the pack’s intended Java and server files matters more than simply using the newest available software.
