Memory and processor use

Crucial is lighter than many large 1.12.2 packs, but it still needs more breathing room than an unmodified server. Memory use commonly grows as players spread out, load separate areas, and build up inventories or storage systems.

Minecraft 1.12.2 also benefits strongly from good single-core processor speed. World growth and configuration

Keep every client on the same Crucial release as the server. With older Forge packs, even a small mismatch can cause connection failures or missing-content errors. Back up the world before changing mods, updating the pack, or adjusting generation settings; removing world-generation content from an existing save can leave awkward borders and broken references.

As settlements grow, occasional lag checks are also more useful than blindly adding memory. Slow ticks may come from chunk generation, dense mob areas, or a particular build rather than a shortage of RAM.
