Your Betweenlands server, with the useful bits included.

Host your Betweenlands server

Host Betweenlands as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on world for exploration, combat, building, and the occasional questionable vampire decision.

  • Install the pack in one click and update without overwriting your config changes.
  • Home hosting leaves uptime tied to one person’s PC and connection.
  • Casual hosting can stumble when several players generate new terrain at once.
  • Premium is our recommended range for active or long-running worlds.
  • Manage mods and configs through CreeperPanel rather than digging through files.

What Betweenlands Brings to Your Server

Betweenlands combines The Betweenlands and Vampirism with a focused selection of building, storage, travel, and quality-of-life mods. It runs on Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge and contains 67 mods, making it smaller than many sprawling kitchen-sink packs while still offering plenty for a shared world.

Recognisable additions include Waystones, Nature’s Compass, Iron Chests, Simple Storage Network, JEI, Xaero’s maps, and FTB Ultimine. Together, they make group exploration and settlement building less cumbersome without turning the pack into an enormous tech progression marathon.

It is a good fit for players who want a themed adventure server where discoveries, bases, and rivalries remain available between sessions.

Hosting Considerations for Betweenlands

CPU, memory, and Java

Betweenlands is relatively compact, but mod count alone does not determine server demand. Forge 1.12.2 usually benefits most from strong CPU performance, particularly when players are exploring, loading dimensions, or generating terrain in different directions.

Memory use commonly rises as the world grows and more players spread out. A small group staying near established areas will generally need less than a busy community constantly uncovering new chunks. Leave some memory headroom rather than assigning everything available; Java garbage collection still needs room to work.

Older Forge packs also expect the correct Java setup. We handle the normal launch configuration, so you do not need to wrestle with startup flags before anyone can join.

Keeping a long-running world healthy

Exploration servers accumulate region files, player data, and backups. World size therefore tends to matter more over time than the pack’s initial download size.

Schedule backups before pack updates or substantial config changes. If lag appears, check whether it follows terrain generation, a particular area, or a build containing large numbers of mobs, dropped items, or ticking blocks. Those clues are much more useful than simply adding memory.

For an active group, Premium gives the server stronger footing as the map expands and simultaneous exploration becomes more common.

Why Run Betweenlands with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, helping older Forge servers where processor speed often matters more than oversized memory claims.

CreeperPanel includes tools for investigating tick lag and troublesome areas without making you decode every log by hand. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.

When the problem needs a person, our team brings more than 13 years of experience hosting modded communities. Your players get the adventure; you do not get a second job maintaining it.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
