Exploration changes the load

This is not an enormous pack, but server demand does not come from mod count alone. Players travelling in different directions require the server to generate and save new chunks. That commonly causes short CPU and disk activity spikes, particularly when several people set off independently.

A mature world can also become busier as bases expand and players collect more animals, NPCs, storage, and decorative builds. Sensible view distances and occasional checks on heavily populated areas usually matter more than simply throwing memory at the server.

Premium is the better starting point when your group explores heavily, keeps many entities around its bases, or expects the world to remain active for months.

Older Forge needs a careful touch

Minecraft 1.7.10 packs are stable when left in a known-good state, but their mod and Forge versions should not be changed casually. Mixing newer or mismatched files can cause startup failures, missing content, or world-loading problems.
