Your Colonial Age server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Colonial Age server
Host Colonial Age as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group a shared colony that keeps growing, even when nobody wants to leave a spare PC running overnight.
- Install the pack in one click and get straight to building.
- Home hosting can struggle as colonies, entities, and machinery expand.
- Casual hosts often make backups, updates, and troubleshooting your problem.
- CreeperPanel keeps mods and configuration files easy to reach.
- Premium is a sensible choice for an established, long-running colony.
Build a Colony Together
Colonial Age is a compact Forge 1.18.2 pack with 68 mods, built around exploration, construction, and shared progression. MineColonies gives your server a clear long-term project: plan a settlement, develop it, and deal with the consequences of everybody having opinions about where the warehouse belongs.
Create and Building Gadgets broaden your construction options, while Oh The Biomes You’ll Go makes expeditions beyond the colony worthwhile. Storage Drawers and Simple Storage Network help keep communal supplies under control as the settlement grows.
CreeperHost’s one-click installer handles the initial setup. Pack updates can also preserve your configuration changes, so routine maintenance does not mean rebuilding every server setting by hand.
Hosting Considerations for Colonial Age
Colonial Age is lighter than many large mod collections, but a mature world can ask considerably more of a server than a fresh one. MineColonies settlements commonly add workers, pathfinding, buildings, and ongoing activity. Create machinery can add further tick load, particularly when players build many active contraptions in the same area.
Exploration also generates new terrain. If several players head in different directions at once, brief CPU spikes are normal while the server creates chunks. Keeping the world online on a host avoids tying all of that work to one player’s computer and internet connection.
For a small group starting out, requirements may remain modest. Premium becomes the better fit when you expect:
- A colony that will run for months rather than weekends
- Several players exploring or building simultaneously
- Large settlements with plenty of workers
- Increasingly elaborate Create builds
- Regular backups and room for world growth
Keep clients on the same Colonial Age release and Forge version as the server. Before pack updates or major configuration changes, take a backup; older modded versions can be less forgiving when files or dependencies drift out of step.
Why Run Colonial Age with CreeperHost?
Our Hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance, which matters when colony pathfinding and machinery begin competing for tick time.
CreeperPanel includes tools for checking lag and investigating what is slowing the server down. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely issues, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
And when the problem is stranger than a badly planned town centre, real CreeperHost support staff are available to help. You build the colony; we help keep its server behaving.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
