Project House is a Minecraft 1.12.2 pack built around technology, magic, exploration, combat, and character progression. Its 125 mods offer plenty for groups whose players rarely agree on what to build next.
Technology fans can work with Applied Energistics 2, BuildCraft, Thermal Expansion, RFTools, and Integrated Dynamics. Botania, Astral Sorcery, Embers, and Mystical Agriculture provide different magical and resource-focused paths. Biomes O’ Plenty, JourneyMap, Waystones, Chisel, and Chisels & Bits support exploration and ambitious building.
That mix works particularly well on a persistent server: specialists can pursue separate projects, trade materials, and gradually connect everything into one gloriously overcomplicated base.
Hosting Considerations for Project House
Project House uses Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2. Packs from this era commonly depend heavily on fast individual CPU cores, especially when several players are exploring, generating terrain, or running machinery at once. More memory helps the pack breathe, but simply adding RAM will not cure tick lag caused by an overloaded base.
Long-running worlds usually become more demanding than fresh ones. Large storage networks, item transport, automated farms, complex redstone, and permanently loaded chunks can all add background work. BuildCraft pipes, Applied Energistics 2 systems, Integrated Dynamics networks, and large production chains are worth designing with restraint rather than duplicating endlessly.
World generation can also cause short spikes when players travel in different directions. Encouraging the group to explore together—and avoiding excessive chunk loading—often makes a noticeable difference.
For a small private group, start with sensible headroom and review usage as the world develops. Larger groups or automation-heavy communities should favour a stronger Premium plan from the outset. Keep regular backups before changing mods or configuration; older Forge packs can be particular about matching files between server and players.
