A sensible world border and planned terrain pregeneration can reduce those generation spikes for busy groups. Regular backups matter too, particularly before changing mods, Forge settings, or world-generation configuration.
Memory use commonly starts modestly for a pack of this size, then rises with concurrent players, explored terrain, developed bases, and automation. Premium is the safer choice when you expect regular activity or want breathing room as the world develops.
Keeping legacy Forge stable
Medieval LOTR uses Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1614. Older Forge packs can be sensitive to changes in Java, loader builds, and individual mod versions. Treat upgrades as controlled changes rather than replacing files and hoping for the best.
Client-only conveniences may also behave differently from server-side mods. Test additions against a backup, keep server and player pack versions aligned, and avoid updating dependencies independently unless you know the pack remains compatible.
