Destiny at a Glance
Destiny is a large Forge 1.12.2 pack built around technology, exploration, quests, and custom progression. Its recipes link mods together, so advancement is less about rushing one favourite machine and more about working through the pack’s intended route.
The 348-mod lineup includes recognisable names such as Mekanism, Industrial Foregoing, Refined Storage, ProjectE, Tinkers’ Construct, Biomes O’ Plenty, and Pam’s HarvestCraft. That mix gives a group plenty to divide between builders, explorers, automation fans, and the player who somehow becomes responsible for every storage system.
The current catalogue release is Destiny 3.0.0, running on Forge 14.23.5.2855 for Minecraft 1.12.2.

Plan for a Growing World
Large 1.12.2 packs commonly need generous memory headroom, but CPU performance matters just as much once bases fill with machines, item transport, farms, and storage networks. Destiny is therefore better treated as a long-running Premium server than a lightweight world you spin up on leftover hardware.
Exploration can create noticeable tick delays while the server generates new chunks, particularly when several players travel in different directions. Keeping view distance sensible and exploring in coordinated bursts can reduce sudden spikes. If your group expects extensive travel, generating commonly used areas ahead of time is often worthwhile.
Keep Automation Sensible
Mekanism, Industrial Foregoing, Refined Storage, XNet, and similar systems can create elaborate factories. They can also add steady server work when networks become oversized, machines run without purpose, or large areas remain force-loaded.
You do not need to ban ambitious builds. Start by avoiding unnecessary chunk loaders, overflowing item routes, and machines that run continuously with nowhere for their output to go. Back up the world before pack updates or major configuration changes, and allow extra startup time after larger changes; older Forge packs may spend a while loading recipes and integrations.
