Those points are held on separate backup storage rather than your allocated server disk or the game node, so they remain protected if the node disappears.
Before restoring, SaveGuard first preserves the current state and shows which files would be added, changed or removed. You can check what the rollback means for your world before committing to it, rather than trading one mistake for another. That matters when a colony, its inventories and the machinery around it have all moved on since yesterday.
Custom additions without update chaos
Friends often have one more mod in mind, whether it is for building, storage or a small quality-of-life tweak. Extra mods keeps those additions apart from the pack files, so a later pack update does not wipe your customised extras.
