Host your Galactic Science 2 server

Host Galactic Science 2 as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and let your group tackle its quest-led technology progression together. Your world stays online while factories run, storage grows, and nobody has to leave a gaming PC humming in the corner.

  • Install the pack in one click and keep configuration changes when updating.
  • Avoid home-PC downtime when the owner logs off, reboots, or loses connection.
  • Give growing automation proper CPU performance instead of sharing it with someone’s game client.
  • Manage mods and configuration through CreeperPanel rather than wrestling with files.
  • Keep a long-running quest world available whenever your group wants to play.

Galactic Science 2 Overview

Galactic Science 2 is an extra-large, quest-driven technology pack for Minecraft 1.7.10, running on Forge. Its 82 mods bring together several well-known parts of the classic modded era.

Applied Energistics 2 supports large storage networks, while BuildCraft, Ender IO, IndustrialCraft 2, Thermal Expansion, and Tech Reborn offer plenty of machinery and automation routes. Big Reactors and Draconic Evolution push ambitious players towards larger builds, with ProjectE, Minechem, OpenComputers, and Tinkers’ Construct adding more ways to develop your base.

Better Questing helps direct progression, making the pack a good fit for a group that wants shared goals rather than an entirely open-ended kitchen-sink world.

Hosting Considerations for Galactic Science 2

Minecraft 1.7.10 packs often care more about strong per-core CPU performance than impressive-looking core counts. Galactic Science 2 can become demanding as players build larger processing lines, expand Applied Energistics networks, and keep more machines or chunks active.

Memory needs usually rise as the world develops. The pack may start comfortably for a small group, then require more headroom once several established bases are running at once. For a serious shared world or a longer playthrough, we recommend beginning with a Premium server rather than planning around the lightest option.

Keep automation tidy

Automation is the point, but uncontrolled item movement, permanently loaded chunks, overflowing storage, and machines running without purpose can all increase tick time. Spread-out groups can also add pressure because the server must keep more areas active.

Regular restarts can clear accumulated memory pressure, but they are not a cure for a troublesome build. CreeperPanel’s diagnostic tools help identify lag patterns so you can investigate the actual cause rather than repeatedly throwing restarts at it.

Back up the world before changing pack versions, Forge files, or core configurations. Older modded stacks can be particular about exact versions, and every player should use the same pack release as the server.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers the native CPU performance that busy modded worlds benefit from, backed by modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware.

On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely issues, and prepare safe next steps for you to approve. It does not replace human support; when an old Forge server gets properly strange, our team brings more than 13 years of modded hosting experience to the problem.

You handle the quests and machines. We’ll handle keeping the server ready for the next session.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
