Chicken Evolution is a quest-driven skyblock pack for Minecraft 1.10.2, built around Chickens and Hatchery alongside technology, magic, and structured progression. Its 111 mods make it more focused than a sprawling kitchen-sink pack while still giving a group plenty to develop over a long-running world.

Recognisable additions include Ender IO, Actually Additions, Botania, Thermal Foundation, Draconic Evolution, Tinkers’ Construct, Storage Drawers, and Integrated Dynamics. Better Questing gives players direction, while the mix of production, storage, and building mods leaves room for each person to take responsibility for a different part of the island.

A Shared Island That Keeps Moving

Skyblock works particularly well on an always-online server. One player can improve storage, another can tackle quests, and someone else can discover that the chicken area has become an architectural event.

Chunk loaders such as those supplied by ChickenChunks deserve particular attention. They are useful, but keeping too many busy areas loaded around the clock means every machine and network in those chunks continues working without players nearby. Set sensible rules for chunk loading and avoid uncontrolled item or entity buildup.

A smaller group may run comfortably with modest memory, though memory is only part of the picture. Strong single-thread CPU performance becomes increasingly important as shared automation grows. Premium is the better starting range for an established group planning a long playthrough, especially if several players build active systems at once.

Take world backups before pack updates or substantial configuration changes. With older Minecraft and Forge versions, changing individual mods independently can cause dependency or world-compatibility problems, so keep the server and player installations aligned.
