Your Realistic Colonies server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Realistic Colonies server
Host Realistic Colonies with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on settlement to build, automate, and explore together. We handle the server-side work while you argue over town planning and who misplaced the copper.
- Fast setup: Install the pack through CreeperPanel without assembling Forge and mods by hand.
- Safer updates: One-click updates preserve your configuration changes.
- No home-PC bottleneck: Growing colonies and automation can strain casual hardware over time.
- No host babysitting: Exploration and chunk generation continue without tying the world to one player’s connection.
- Built for long saves: Premium is our recommended range for colonies intended to keep growing.
A More Grounded MineColonies Experience
Realistic Colonies is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge pack built around MineColonies, with 113 mods shaping settlement life, building, exploration, food, combat, and machinery.
Create adds mechanical automation, while Refined Storage and Sophisticated Storage help groups manage the materials demanded by larger projects. Cooking for Blockheads and Pam’s HarvestCraft 2 broaden the food side of town life. Better Combat supports adventuring beyond the walls, with reworked structures from YUNG’s mods giving players more reasons to head out.
It is relatively compact by modern modpack standards, but it has the ingredients for a long-running shared world: expanding settlements, active machinery, storage networks, and plenty of generated terrain to uncover.
Hosting Considerations for Realistic Colonies
MineColonies servers commonly become busier as settlements expand. More colonists, loaded buildings, pathfinding, and ongoing work can increase tick time even when the player count remains modest. Create contraptions and large storage systems can add to that, particularly when builds remain active around the clock.
For a new world and a small group, memory needs may begin fairly modestly. CPU speed usually matters more as the save develops, so Premium is the sensible starting point for groups planning several colonies, substantial automation, or a world they expect to keep for months.
Exploration can also produce short performance spikes while new terrain and structures generate. Sensible world borders and planned exploration help reduce surprise growth. Chunk-loading should be used deliberately rather than everywhere; keeping every factory and settlement active defeats the point of optimisation.
Back up before pack updates or major configuration changes. Realistic Colonies combines systems that store important world data, so rolling back cleanly is much better than attempting surgery on a damaged save.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, helping colony simulation and automation stay responsive as your world matures.
CreeperPanel handles installation, updates, mod configuration, backups, and lag diagnosis without making you live in config files. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely trouble spots, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
We have spent more than 13 years hosting modded communities. When a colony save gets strange, real support staff understand the difference between ordinary Minecraft lag and a modded server having one of those evenings.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
