Your SkyColonies server, with the useful bits included.

Host your SkyColonies server

Host SkyColonies as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and let your group build, automate, and expand its colony in a world that keeps running between sessions. We handle the server side while you decide who gets trusted with the next ambitious construction project.

  • Install the full pack in a few clicks without assembling 178 mods by hand.
  • Avoid leaving a home PC running whenever the colony needs to remain active.
  • Give growing colonies stronger CPU performance than casual shared hosting commonly offers.
  • Keep configuration changes during supported pack updates through CreeperPanel.
  • Choose Premium for a long-running world with colonies, machines, and automation.

What Is SkyColonies?

SkyColonies is a Minecraft 1.12.2 Forge pack centred on MineColonies, with technology, adventure, RPG, and harder survival elements around it. Its 178 mods give players considerably more to pursue than colony management alone.

Building Gadgets helps with large construction jobs, while Refined Storage and RFTools support increasingly sophisticated bases. Botania adds magical automation, Pam’s HarvestCraft broadens food production, and Draconic Evolution offers powerful late-game goals. Backpacks, JourneyMap, and various building tools make day-to-day group play less fiddly.

The result is a pack that works well for a committed group: establish the settlement, divide responsibilities, and watch modest early builds turn into something alarmingly elaborate.

Built for a Shared Colony

MineColonies naturally creates multiplayer jobs. One player can plan the settlement, another can gather materials, and others can develop food, storage, power, or equipment. A permanently online server means progress is not tied to one person launching their save and inviting everyone else.

It also gives the colony a single shared world with controlled access and regular backups. That matters when players have invested weeks in buildings, workers, production systems, and storage networks.

CreeperPanel includes GUI-based mod and configuration management, so common server changes do not require rummaging through every file manually.

Hosting Considerations for SkyColonies

SkyColonies is a sizeable 1.12.2 pack, and Premium is our usual starting recommendation for an established multiplayer world. Forge packs from this era commonly benefit from strong single-thread CPU performance as much as memory, particularly once players spread out and build several active systems.

MineColonies settlements can add ongoing processing as they grow. Automation, mob farms, storage networks, and machines may add more tick load, especially when several areas remain loaded. No single build guarantees lag, but dozens of constantly running blocks can eventually make a difference.

Good server habits help:

  • Keep automated production proportionate to what the group actually uses.
  • Avoid leaving large numbers of mobs or dropped items accumulating.
  • Investigate tick problems before compensating with ever more memory.
  • Back up the world before changing pack versions, Forge builds, or core configurations.
  • Restart periodically when a long-running 1.12.2 server begins retaining excess memory.

Our built-in diagnostics can help identify troublesome dimensions, entities, or ticking blocks rather than relying on guesswork.

Why Run SkyColonies with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, helping busy colonies remain responsive as the world matures.

CreeperPanel handles installation, updates, backups, and routine management without hiding the files you may eventually want to tune. If something unusual happens, you can also reach real support staff backed by more than 13 years of hosting modded communities.

Build the colony together—not around whoever remembered to keep their PC switched on.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
