Steam Hard Story brings technical and magical RPG progression to CreeperHost hosting, combining quests, exploration, automation, and dangerous encounters in a Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge pack.
Technical and Magical Progression
Steam Hard Story focuses on a challenging industrial and magic journey. Build systems with Applied Energistics 2, BuildCraft, Ender IO, Forestry, Immersive Engineering, Railcraft, Thermal Foundation, and ProjectRed. Tinkers’ Construct, Iguana’s Tinker Tweaks, and Tinkers’ Mechworks add depth to tool and equipment progression.
Magic paths include Thaumcraft, Botania, Automagy, Technomancy, Magic Bees, and Gendustry. ComputerCraft and OpenComputers support programmable technology, while NuclearCraft, generators, drills, jetpacks, and modular turrets expand later-game engineering options.
Quests, Recipes, and Exploration
The pack includes hundreds of quests through Hardcore Questing Mode, guiding progress across its industrial, magical, and survival systems. More than 100 changed recipes create a deliberate progression rather than allowing every item to be crafted immediately.
Exploration is an important part of the experience. Roguelike Dungeons and ExtraBiomesXL add reasons to travel beyond your base, while Infernal Mobs can make encounters significantly more dangerous. Nevermine: Advent of Ascension also broadens the adventure with additional creatures and challenges.
Food and farming receive extra attention through AgriCraft, Pam’s HarvestCraft, Cooking for Blockheads, Spice of Life, and related storage and processing mods. NotEnoughItems, Waila, JourneyMap, and recipe integration tools help explain the pack’s interconnected systems.
