This modpack follows the discovery of an ancient Compendium left behind by the Lenark, a surviving race from a fallen cosmic society. With lost knowledge in hand, players can uncover the secrets of their world and consider a journey toward the stars.

Explore a Forgotten Legacy

The pack’s story begins with a crashed vessel, hidden for centuries on an unexplored planet. Its discovery reveals the history of the Collective, a once-great civilisation destroyed by internal conflict and dangerous knowledge. Exploration, adventure, and RPG elements support a progression shaped by ruins, strange locations, and the search for answers about the past.

Build Technology for the Stars

Protocol Alpha places technology and space travel at the centre of its progression. Power generation differs from standard Thermal Expansion systems, and Thermal Expansion is not part of the pack. Players must consider how to create and distribute energy, including the challenge of converting between EU and RF systems.

The catalogue includes technology from BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft 2, Immersive Engineering, Ender IO, MineFactory Reloaded, Railcraft, ComputerCraft, generators, storage systems, logistics tools, and more. These additions provide different ways to automate tasks, process materials, organise items, and develop advanced machinery.
