What MeatyPack Brings to Your Server
MeatyPack is a 135-mod pack for Minecraft 1.7.10, running on Forge 10.13.4.1614. It combines substantial technology and magic progression with RPG-style adventure, varied building options, farming, storage, and new places to explore.
Applied Energistics 2 supports large storage networks, while BuildCraft, Immersive Engineering, MineFactory Reloaded, and Tinkers’ Construct give technical players plenty to engineer. Thaumcraft covers magical research, with the Aether and Twilight Forest encouraging groups to leave the workshop and go adventuring.
That breadth works particularly well in multiplayer. Different players can specialise without everyone following the same path, then bring their discoveries and increasingly questionable machinery back to a shared base.
Hosting Considerations for MeatyPack
World generation and exploration
MeatyPack commonly becomes more demanding when several players explore in different directions or generate dimension terrain at once. The Aether, Twilight Forest, and a growing Overworld all add world data, so storage use and backup times tend to increase during a long playthrough.
Generating new terrain can also cause temporary tick slowdowns. Encouraging players to explore together during busy periods can help, while sensible world borders or planned pregeneration may reduce surprise generation spikes later.
Machines, storage, and loaded chunks
Technical bases usually become the bigger concern over time. Large automation chains, item transport, farms, storage networks, and heavily populated areas can add constant server work even when nobody is actively crafting.
Chunk loaders deserve particular attention because they keep those systems ticking around the clock. They are useful, but unrestricted use can make a mature world much heavier than its player count suggests. Regular profiling is better than guessing which machine caused the lag.
Because this is a legacy Forge pack, keep client, server, Forge, and mod versions aligned. Back up the world before changing mods or configuration, and avoid treating routine restarts as a substitute for tracking down a misbehaving build.
