Host your SZMP - Simple Zelda Mod Pack server

Host SZMP – Simple Zelda Mod Pack as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group a shared 1.7.10 adventure world that keeps running between sessions.

  • One-click installation avoids wrestling with an older Forge setup.
  • Premium plans are the better starting point for active, long-running worlds.
  • Home hosting can struggle when several players generate new terrain at once.
  • Casual setups rely on one player’s PC, connection, and availability.
  • CreeperPanel keeps mod and configuration changes manageable.

A Shared Zelda-Inspired Adventure

SZMP 4.0 combines exploration, quests, magic, dungeons, and RPG-style combat across 37 mods. Zelda Sword Skills, ZeldaCraft, Chocolate Quest, and Doomlike Dungeons shape the adventure, while Antique Atlas helps players chart their travels.

Supporting mods such as Storage Drawers, Backpacks, Chisel, and Decocraft give the group practical storage and more freedom when building a shared base. Battlegear 2 expands combat, while GraveStone helps make an unfortunate dungeon visit less disruptive.

The pack runs on Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge 10.13.4.1614. Our installer handles the initial deployment, and updates preserve your configuration changes rather than flattening them.

Hosting Considerations for SZMP

SZMP is not enormous by mod count, but adventure packs often place more pressure on a server than their size suggests. Players tend to spread out, search for structures, and generate terrain in several directions. That can produce short tick-time spikes, especially when the whole party decides to explore separately.

Minecraft 1.7.10 also comes from an older generation of Forge. Its server tick is sensitive to individual CPU performance, so throwing memory at lag is rarely the complete answer. Fast CPU cores, sensible view distance, and regular restarts usually matter more than assigning an excessive heap.

Planning for a Longer Campaign

A small group starting together may have modest requirements. Raise your plan expectations when players split into teams, explore aggressively, or keep the world active for months. Larger world saves also make properly scheduled backups increasingly important.

Keep the pack’s intended mod and Forge versions aligned unless you know a replacement is compatible. Older modded servers are less forgiving of casual file swaps, and one mismatched dependency can prevent startup. Test configuration changes before the next group session rather than five minutes after everyone arrives.

For most established groups, we recommend beginning with our Premium range. It leaves better headroom for terrain generation and busy dungeon sessions without treating raw RAM as the only measure of performance.

Why Run SZMP with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform uses modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware chosen with modded Minecraft’s CPU-heavy server tick in mind.

CreeperPanel handles installation, updates, and everyday configuration without hiding the files when you need them. Built-in diagnostics help narrow down lag when an old world, troublesome chunk, or configuration change starts causing trouble.

We have hosted modded communities for more than 13 years, including plenty of older Forge packs. When SZMP gets temperamental, you can reach real people who understand that “the server stopped after I changed one mod” is rarely the whole story.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
