Your Compitum Magia server, with the useful bits included.

Host your Compitum Magia server

Host Compitum Magia as a CreeperHost multiplayer server and give your group an always-on world for hard-mode magic, dangerous exploration, and long-term progression.

  • Premium is our recommended range for this large 462-mod pack.
  • Self-hosting makes lengthy starts and world generation compete with your own PC.
  • Casual hosting can buckle as players explore separate dimensions and load more chunks.
  • One-click installation and updates keep your configuration changes intact.
  • Your world stays available without somebody leaving their computer running.

A Harder Kind of Magic Pack

Compitum Magia brings several schools of magic into a deliberately unforgiving Minecraft 1.12.2 experience. It runs on Forge 14.23.5.2854, with catalogue release CM 6.11.2.

This is not a pack where everyone quietly decorates a cottage and calls it progress. Tough As Nails and Hardcore Darkness raise the pressure, while destinations including The Aether and The Betweenlands encourage groups to venture well beyond the Overworld. Roguelike Dungeons adds more reasons to prepare before exploring.

Magic comes in several forms, with recognisable additions such as Mana Wizardry, Embers Rekindled, and Thaumic Arcana. That variety works particularly well in multiplayer: players can pursue different paths, exchange discoveries, and regroup when something unpleasant emerges from the dark.

Hosting Considerations for Compitum Magia

Give Forge Time to Work

Large Forge 1.12.2 packs commonly take longer to start than modern lightweight servers. Restarts should be planned rather than repeatedly forced because the console appears quiet. Memory use can also rise as the world grows, players spread out, and more dimensions remain active.

Fast single-core CPU performance matters because Minecraft’s main server tick still does much of the important work on one thread. Extra memory helps the pack breathe, but simply piling on RAM will not cure tick lag caused by excessive entities, constantly loaded chunks, or problematic builds.

Plan for Exploration

Compitum Magia rewards travel, and generating fresh terrain is usually one of the heavier jobs a modded server performs. Several players heading in different directions can produce noticeable tick spikes, particularly alongside mob activity and established bases.

For a smoother long-running world:

  • Keep the server and every client on the same pack release.
  • Schedule restarts for quiet periods rather than interrupting active expeditions.
  • Take backups before pack updates or substantial configuration changes.
  • Investigate recurring lag instead of assuming every slowdown needs more memory.
  • Watch farms, loose items, and permanently loaded areas as the community expands.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on hardware selected for modded Minecraft, which is especially useful for a pack of this size.

CreeperPanel’s built-in diagnostic tools help identify whether lag is coming from ticks, entities, chunks, or another common culprit. On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for you to approve.

When the logs become thoroughly 1.12-shaped, our real support team brings more than 13 years of experience hosting large modded communities. You play the magic pack; we help keep the server from becoming the hardest boss in it.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
