Poke' What? is a 44-mod Forge pack centred on Pokécube, with exploration, building, farming, storage, and tool progression around it. It runs on Minecraft 1.7.10 and combines its creature-focused theme with familiar mods including Tinkers’ Construct, Chisel, Pam’s HarvestCraft, Storage Drawers, Extra Utilities, and Hardcore Ender Expansion.

It is smaller than the enormous kitchen-sink packs of the same era, which makes it approachable for a close-knit server. There is still plenty for players to do beyond the central theme: establish detailed bases, improve equipment, organise collected materials, cook, farm, and venture into less friendly corners of the world.

Multiplayer gives those systems room to connect. One player can focus on exploration while somebody else builds the town, manages food, or disappears into a workshop for three days.

Legacy Forge needs careful changes

Minecraft 1.7.10 packs often depend on very specific combinations of Forge, core mods, and library versions. Keep every player and the server on the same pack release, and avoid casually replacing individual mod files. Even an apparently minor update can introduce mismatches or change world behaviour.

Back up the world before modifying mods or important configuration. Test changes before inviting everyone back in, especially once the world contains established bases and stored items.

Watch exploration and loaded chunks

Poke' What? is relatively light, but server demand commonly rises as players spread out. Generating new terrain, tracking creatures, and keeping more areas active all add work. ChickenChunks can also leave selected areas ticking after players move elsewhere, so unrestricted chunk loading may become noticeable on a long-running world.

For groups that explore heavily, generating the expected play area ahead of time can reduce pauses during live play. Memory should be judged from the actual world rather than the mod count alone; stored items, active entities, and player distribution matter too.

A small group can begin modestly. Premium becomes the better fit when the server stays busy, players roam widely, or chunk-loaded builds accumulate. Native CPU speed is usually more valuable than simply assigning excessive memory to an older Forge server.
