Your Blast Off server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Blast Off server
Host Blast Off as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on base for its demanding quests, dangerous exploration, and interconnected technology. We handle the server side while you concentrate on escaping whatever the pack throws at you next.
- One-click installation sets up the correct Minecraft 1.7.10 Forge pack.
- Premium plans give growing automation and exploration room to breathe.
- Your home PC does not need to stay running for everyone else to play.
- Casual hosting can buckle once machines, chunk loaders, and busy bases accumulate.
- Updates preserve your configuration changes instead of resetting your work.
A Hardcore Tech Journey
Blast Off combines guided quests, exploration, technology, magic, and a distinctly unforgiving edge. It runs on Minecraft 1.7.10 with Forge and includes 58 mods, making it a focused pack rather than an oversized kitchen sink.
Applied Energistics 2, BuildCraft, Ender IO, PneumaticCraft, and Steve’s Factory Manager offer plenty of scope for automation and storage. Botania adds magical engineering, while Ex Nihilo and Iguana Tinker Tweaks reshape familiar progression. Roguelike exploration and tougher hostile behaviour help ensure leaving the safety of your base remains a meaningful decision.
Because progress is shared, multiplayer works particularly well here. Players can divide quests, specialise in different systems, and combine their machinery without waiting for one person to load a local world.
Hosting Considerations for Blast Off
Blast Off is not enormous by modern modpack standards, but older Forge servers still reward strong single-core CPU performance and sensible configuration. Premium is our recommended CreeperHost range for a long-running world, particularly if your group enjoys building large automated bases.
Common pressure points include:
- Loaded chunks: ChickenChunks can keep machines working while players are elsewhere. Useful, certainly, but every permanently loaded area continues ticking.
- Large automation networks: Pipes, inventories, factories, and storage systems can become expensive when they constantly scan, transfer, or craft.
- Exploration: Rapid travel into new terrain may cause temporary tick delays while the server generates chunks.
- Crowded bases: Concentrating every machine and item network in one area can hurt more than spreading major builds across a few locations.
Memory needs usually rise as the world matures and more systems remain active. Avoid allocating blindly, though: extra memory cannot compensate for an overloaded tick loop. Regular backups, restrained chunk loading, and occasional checks on unusually busy builds will do far more for a healthy server.
As a legacy 1.7.10 pack, Blast Off should also be updated carefully. Back up the world first and keep matching client and server versions across the group.
Why Run Blast Off with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform delivers the native CPU performance modded Minecraft depends on, using modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware.
If a factory starts dragging the tick rate down, CreeperPanel includes tools that help identify where the time is going. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely causes, and prepare safe next steps for you to approve.
And when an old Forge pack gets properly weird, experienced CreeperHost support is still there to help.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
