Your Material Energy^Ex server, with the useful bits included.

Host your Material Energy^Ex server

Host Material Energy^Ex as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your group an always-on place to explore, fight, build machines, and tackle its experimental progression together.

  • Install the correct Minecraft 1.12.2 Forge build without assembling files by hand.
  • Update through CreeperPanel while preserving your configuration changes.
  • Avoid leaving a home PC running whenever friends want to play.
  • Keep machine-heavy bases from competing with everything else on your computer.
  • Choose Premium for an active group or a world expected to run long term.

Material Energy^Ex at a Glance

Material Energy^Ex mixes technological progression with exploration, RPG elements, and combat. Its 56-mod catalogue includes recognisable systems from Applied Energistics 2, Ender IO, Thermal Expansion, Tinkers’ Construct, ProjectE, Alchemistry, and FTB Quests.

That combination gives groups plenty to divide between them: storage networks, processing setups, equipment development, quests, and exploration can all happen at once. A permanent server means nobody needs to own the “main” save or wait for its keeper to log in.

The current catalogue build is an alpha test running on Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge 14.23.5.2847, so backups matter when testing updates or changing pack files.

Hosting Considerations for Material Energy^Ex

This is not an enormous pack by mod count, but mod count is only part of the story. Technology mods can create increasingly busy bases as players add machines, conduits, storage networks, item movement, and automated processing. These systems commonly affect server tick time more than raw memory use.

Exploration can also produce short CPU and disk spikes while new terrain loads. That is usually most noticeable when several players head in different directions at once.

For a smoother long-running server:

  • Keep regular world backups, especially before alpha updates.
  • Watch dense machine rooms and large item-transfer systems if tick rate starts dropping.
  • Avoid assigning all available memory; Java and the server still need breathing room.
  • Test configuration changes one at a time rather than replacing several files together.
  • Restart on a sensible schedule, but investigate recurring lag instead of treating restarts as the cure.

A small group may have modest needs early on. As bases grow and automation spreads, Premium is the safer starting point for stronger CPU performance and extra headroom.

Why Run It with CreeperHost?

Our hybrid VPS platform delivers native CPU performance on modern Ryzen, EPYC, and Intel Ultra hardware chosen with modded Minecraft in mind. That matters when several automation systems and players are active during the same tick.

CreeperPanel includes tools for finding common lag sources rather than leaving you to guess. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.

We have hosted modded Minecraft communities for over 13 years. When an experimental 1.12.2 pack gets peculiar, real support staff are available to help you untangle it.

Got questions?

Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.

CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.

Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
