A Bigger, Tougher Take on Minecraft

Simply Extra + 1.2 runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge. It starts from familiar survival, then adds more danger, places to discover, equipment, transport, food, and building choices.

Improved mobs raise the stakes, while additions such as Immersive Aircraft make travelling together much more entertaining. Structure and cave additions give your group reasons to keep exploring, and mods including Croptopia, Serene Seasons, Sophisticated Backpacks, and Botany Pots add useful depth back at base.

It is broad enough for players to find their own roles without turning the server into a strict quest-led progression pack. Expect ambitious bases, armed expeditions, crowded storage rooms, and at least one landing strip built far too close to somebody’s roof.

Exploration puts the server to work

Large Forge packs commonly need more memory and stronger single-thread CPU performance than lighter vanilla-style setups. Simply Extra + also encourages movement through caves, structures, and distant terrain. When several players explore in different directions—or cover ground quickly by aircraft—the server must generate and save many chunks at once.

That can expose the limits of home connections, shared machines, and low-end hosting. Existing areas are usually easier to run than newly generated terrain, so the busiest moments often happen during group expeditions rather than quiet building sessions.

Plan for a world that grows

Memory needs commonly rise as more players join, bases become busier, and additional areas remain loaded. Leave some headroom rather than choosing a plan that only just starts the pack. Premium is our recommended range here, particularly for active groups or worlds intended to run for months.

Back up the world before pack updates or major configuration changes. If you adjust difficulty, mob behaviour, or other gameplay settings, change one thing at a time and test it before the whole group piles back in.
