Your Craft 4 Dead server, with the useful bits included.
Host your Craft 4 Dead server
Host Craft 4 Dead as a multiplayer server with CreeperHost and give your survivors an always-on ruined world to loot, defend, and occasionally fill with far too many zombies.
- Premium is our recommended range for this sizeable, long-running Forge pack.
- Zombie hordes and active machinery can overwhelm a casually hosted machine.
- Exploration and world loading often expose the limits of home connections and shared PCs.
- One-click installation gets the correct pack files in place without manual uploads.
- Updates preserve your configuration changes, so server tuning is not wiped each time.
Surviving Craft 4 Dead Together
Craft 4 Dead is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge pack built around post-apocalyptic exploration, abandoned urban areas, firearms, equipment, and large zombie attacks. Its 176 mods make it more involved than a lightly modified survival server.
Lost Cities and Biomes O’ Plenty shape the world your group explores, while JourneyMap helps players navigate it. Create adds engineering projects that can turn a temporary shelter into a much more ambitious base. The result is a pack that works particularly well with a regular group: gather supplies, divide jobs, fortify somewhere defensible, then discover which friend forgot to close the door.
Because the pack is map-based, check that your intended world is selected before everyone begins progressing.
Hosting Considerations for Craft 4 Dead
Hordes, chunks, and contraptions
Large groups of hostile mobs require the server to process movement, targeting, and combat at once. This commonly makes CPU performance more important during attacks than the quiet player count suggests. Create contraptions and other continuously active blocks can add further tick load as settlements grow.
Exploration may also cause short bursts of extra work when players enter new areas. Groups spreading out in different directions generate or load more chunks simultaneously, so travel can be more demanding than keeping everyone around one defended base.
Our Premium servers use modern Ryzen, EPYC, or Intel Ultra processors chosen with modded Minecraft in mind. That strong single-core performance helps when hordes, chunk activity, and player-built systems all compete for the same tick.
Memory and server housekeeping
Memory needs commonly rise with simultaneous players, loaded regions, entities, and a world that has been running for weeks. Allocating excessive memory is not a cure for poor tick performance, but too little can produce frequent garbage collection pauses or failed starts.
Keep mob farms, dropped items, and permanently loaded machinery under control. Restart schedules can help over long sessions, while CreeperPanel’s diagnostic tools make it easier to distinguish memory pressure from entity, chunk, or tick-related lag.
When changing pack settings, make one adjustment at a time and keep a backup. Horde behaviour, despawn rules, and world settings can have wider effects than expected.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
CreeperPanel handles installation, updates, backups, and GUI-based mod or configuration management without making you dig through every server folder.
Built-in performance tools help track down troublesome entities, chunks, or mods. On eligible Premium and Pro services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain likely causes, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
We have spent over 13 years hosting modded communities, and real support staff are available when your apocalypse develops a technical problem rather than a zombie one.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
