World Beyond runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge. It takes a broad vanilla-plus approach, adding more places to visit, more ways to build, and substantial technical progression without turning every first night into a rulebook exam.

Hosting Considerations for World Beyond

Although World Beyond is relatively compact by modern modpack standards, its mix of terrain generation and technology still benefits from strong single-core CPU performance.

New chunk generation commonly causes the largest early-game spikes. If several players head in different directions, the server must create biomes, structures, trees, mobs, and underground features simultaneously.
