A Dragon Adventure Built for a Group
Claws and Skies is a map-based exploration pack for Minecraft 1.18.2, running on Forge 40.3.0. Isle of Berk and related additions form its dragon-focused centre, while the wider mod list expands the world with more places to visit, creatures to encounter, and details for players to discover together.
The pack includes 317 mods. Recognisable additions such as The Twilight Forest and The Undergarden extend exploration beyond the main world, while YUNG’s improved structures add more reasons to travel. Chipped and Macaw’s building additions help turn discovered locations into settlements, outposts, or suitably dramatic dragon enclosures.
CreeperPanel can install the pack and gives you GUI-based access to mods and configuration files, so routine changes do not require digging through every folder manually.
Hosting Considerations for Claws and Skies
This is a comparatively large Forge pack, and it benefits from a server chosen for sustained play rather than a temporary session. Premium is our recommended range for most groups, particularly when the world will run for months or players tend to explore independently.
Exploration usually creates the biggest bursts of server work. Generating fresh terrain, loading structures, and opening additional dimensions can cause brief tick slowdowns when several players travel in different directions at once. A modern, fast CPU matters here; simply assigning excessive memory does not fix a struggling game thread.
Memory use commonly grows as more dimensions, entities, and active chunks remain loaded. Leave some headroom rather than sizing around an empty server immediately after startup. Regular restarts can also help longer-running Forge servers clear accumulated memory, although they are not a substitute for investigating persistent lag.
Shaders and visual packs largely affect each player’s own computer, not the server. If someone has poor frame rates while everyone else moves normally, lowering their shader settings is generally more useful than changing server memory.
Before major pack updates or configuration changes, take a backup. Map-based packs may include important world data, so replacing files casually can undo group progress or alter the intended experience.
Why Run It with CreeperHost?
Our hybrid VPS platform gives modded Minecraft the strong native CPU performance it needs when players are generating terrain or moving between dimensions.
If the server starts lagging, built-in diagnostic tools help identify timing problems instead of leaving you to guess. On eligible Premium services, Ask Theo can inspect the current server and panel state, explain what it finds, and prepare safe next steps for your approval.
And when Forge decides to be Forge, our support team brings more than 13 years of experience hosting modded communities. You get people who understand that “it worked yesterday” is often the beginning of the investigation, not the end.
Got questions?
Yes. CreeperHost modpack pages link into ordering with the selected pack ready to install. You can also change versions or pick another supported pack later from CreeperPanel.
CreeperPanel is built around real modded servers, including update paths that aim to preserve user configuration changes where supported instead of treating every update like a fresh install.
Eco can work for lighter packs, but Premium is the recommended CreeperHost range for modded Minecraft. Premium gives stronger hardware, Turbo Start, Bonus Memory, and Ask Theo where enabled.
